Welcome

First visit

Here is how it works the first time you visit Krux.

1. Buy a drop-in ticket online

Buy your drop-in ticket before you arrive. You'll receive a code by text message that opens the door. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note: if you are under 18, a parent or guardian must buy the ticket for you.
If you need help putting on the equipment, come during staffed opening hours.

2. Get your equipment

Equipment is included in the drop-in ticket. You'll find it under the stairs. Choose climbing shoes that fit. The harnesses come in three sizes. The harness is correctly adjusted when it sits snugly above your hips and you can just slide your flat hand between the harness and your waist.
For children up to 4 years old, we recommend a full-body harness.

3. Bouldering requires no experience

In the bouldering area, you climb on walls up to 4 m high, with thick crash mats to land on. No belaying or previous experience is needed.

4. Know how to clip in to the auto belay

The auto belay is easy to use. Clip the carabiner into the belay loop on your harness. If you have never used an auto belay before, we recommend making your first visit during staffed opening hours (Saturday and Sunday) so you can get proper instruction.

5. Rope climbing requires a belay certificate

To belay others on top rope or lead, you must have a Brattkort (Norwegian belay certificate) or an equivalent belay certification, such as a belay card from another country or climbing gym.
